Buzzard Wall (Stephen Baldwin) and his wife Betty (Emily Lloyd) have a very simple dream...invent an industrial strength sun-block (SPF 150), make a fortune, have a baby and live in Hawaii. But the trip from Cactus Gulch, Arizona to the Big Island paradise turns into a wacko adventure for these two lovable dim-wits when they are confronted with an escaped convict (Chris Penn), praying grandmothers, Mexican banditos, the ghost of King Kamehameha, gang-bangers, the D.E.A., the U.S. Marines and all "Under The Hula Moon."
