But it is Clouseau who has the last laugh. Very much alive, he and his faithful servant (Burt Kwouk) travel to Hong Kong with the drug lord's discarded mistress (Dyan Cannon) to investigate Douvier and a heroin deal worth 50 million francs. But can Clouseau, disguised as the Godfather, intercept the deal? Will Inspector Dreyfus, who's also on the case, see past the disguise in time to avoid killing his subordinate...or will he just kill him anyway? He's Cobra, a one-man assault force whose laser-mount submachine gun and pearl-handled Colt .45 spit pure, crime-stopping venom. Director George P. Fortunately for that woman (lovely Brigitte Nielsen), she's in the protective custody of Cobra. And fortunately for both action fans and Stallone fans, this results in moment upon rousing moment of thunderous shoot-outs and roaring action sequences. Crime is a disease. Meet the cure. And meet, too, the high-energy cure to video viewing blahs. "Cobra is lean and it's mean," according to Dennis Cunningham of WCBS-TV/New York. "It comes at you like a bullet! If you are looking for slick, solid action-adventure, look no further."
